The ARID studio is equipped with eight computer workstations with state of the art design software. This allows us to produce 2D technical drawings and 3D parametric and surface models suitable for file transfer to rapid prototyping facilities and tool makers. The ARID studio is also equipped with graphics, video animation and desktop video production tools. Our extensive workshop we provides model making, prototyping, pattern making and small scale manufacturing services.
Computer Aided Industrial Design The Design studio is equipped with eight state of the art PC workstations. The computers allow us to document designs accurately and rapidly, the mix of software and hardware we have chosen allow us to use the precision of the computers without restricting creativity.
As well as a network of eight IBM and personal computers we have the following hardware. A4 colour scanner, DVD burner, A3 photo colour inkjet printer, A1 plotter, 6.1 mega pixel digital camera, CD-ROM, fax modem, laser printer and a fibre optic ADSL internet connection.

As well as a large range of air, power and hand tools we have an extensive range of metrology equipment including a digital height gauge, gauge blocks, sine bar, micrometers (0-200). Vernier and digital callipers up to (600), and a Vernier protractor. Other accessories include boring heads and a rotary table for the milling machine.
A recent addition to our range of services is vacuum casting. A cost effective method of producing accurate multiple prototypes, the process utilizes flexible silicone moulds and urethane casting resins to produce parts with properties similar to finished injection moulded parts. The nature of the process allows easy reproduction of extremely fine detail including snap fits and undercuts. This process can also be used for short run production of high quality moulded products without the capital expenditure usually associated with parts of this quality.
